Message from the President

Ladies and Gents,

On this Tuesday 22 May 2012 we will be having our breakfast meeting at the Wheelchair for Kids Centre which is at Unit 2, 45 Dellamarta Rd Wangara. By all accounts it is a fantastic vocation site visit. Eurochef will be providing breakfast so polease make every effort to get there.

Thank you to Lauren Farrel who at short notice gave us a presentation last Tuesday on her plans to participate in the 200km bike ride for Cancer Council research.

We have had a great fund raising year so far. Following our board meeting on Wednesday it was agreed that funds would be allocated to:

Heart and Lung transplant $2,000

John Fawsett foundation $1,000

Australian rotary Health $1,000

Interplast $2k this year $2k next year $2,000

Feedback from the District Conference...

The theme of the District Conference was Inspiring Tomorrow's Leaders and the keynote speakers talked about the changes that Rotary Clubs need to make to attract and retain younger members while retaining the more mature members. The attached papers summarised the results of the focus groups held at the conference and the talks by some of the presenters.
