Rotary International is celebrating the birthday of Rotary on February 23rd.
What is your club doing to celebrate the 107th birthday of our great organisation?
Celebrate ROTARY together
Some suggestions include
Holding a birthday party in the week of the 23rd -Make it a gala event.
- Having a “cut the cake” ceremony.
- Inviting a great ROTARY speaker to talk on a great Rotary program. Use your District Directory to find the Chair of a Rotary Program that would interest your club members - see Pages 75-109. Inform your members of the fantastic opportunities and programs that there are in Rotary.
- Inviting all your club supporters, honorary members, friends, past members etc to enjoy our great organisation.
- Using the occasion to invite your local politicians ( Federal, State and Shire) to join with you for the celebration.
- Including your local media contacts in the invite list
- Having your local school principal, bank manager, doctor, dentist, optician, accountant, supermarket manager, estate agent, travel agent etc come as club guests. Include as many guests as possible to spread the word of Rotary.
- Making a press/media release outlining some of your great projects. Tell your club story.
- Starting a new project in the name of Rotary’s Birthday. Make an announcement.
